Rockstar Editor

The Rockstar Editor in games like Grand Theft Auto V lets players create and edit cinematic gameplay videos and pictures with tools for capturing footage, placing cameras, and adding effects.

As of July 26, 2024, FiveM has not provided a fix for the Rockstar Editor crashing with encrypted resources. However, the following steps have been successful in using the Rockstar Editor:

  1. Record Your Clips

    • Capture the footage you need.

  2. Restart FiveM

    • Exit the game and restart it.

  3. Fly In

    • Re-enter the game. Ensure you're not inside a house, but the location doesn't need to be specific.

  4. Open the Editor

    • Access the editor through the F1 menu.

  5. Exit the Editor

    • This will take you to the FiveM loading screen.

  6. Open Replay Editor

    • At the bottom left of the screen, click on "Replay Editor."

    • Click on the red button and wait for it to load (there won't be any indication that it's loading, but it is, and it takes a while).

  7. Edit Your Clip

    • You'll be able to edit one clip before the editor crashes. Repeat the process for each new clip.
